Technical Resourcing
	Through working with our clients, Infrasys has recognised that all too often companies lack the skills and/or resources required to meet periods of peak demand, particularly on major projects. At the same time, the company may wish to undertake the project using an internal team, and supplement the team with additional technical competence. Infrasys has established a pool of technical experts, who are available on a temporary basis to work as part of an internal company team.
	The Problem The principle reasons for using the technical resourcing service are the need to fill a skills gap caused by a short term peak requirement, the need for a specific technical skill for a fixed period of time, or the need to cover temporary or unexpected absence.
	Service Scope Infrasys has a network of associates who undertake fixed term assignments. The principle skill areas concerned are: IT infrastructure – particularly enterprise servers and storage Computer Aided Engineering – particularly design process Supply chain – inbound and distribution IT and business process analysis IT service delivery Infrasys will identify the potential candidates for the role who will be interviewed by the client prior to appointment. The expert selected will work under the direction of the client, who will set objectives and monitor deliverables. Assignments typically last from six to twelve months, although on occasion, shorter assignments can be undertaken.
	Benefits This service provides incremental contract technical resources, but allows the client to retain direct day to day control over the activities of the resource.

	Reference Site Infrasys has resourced a number of roles at British Airports Authority, including CATIA design process engineers to work on the Heathrow Terminal 5 project, and a logistics expert to support the implementation of a new baggage handling system.
